Last week I resolved a big case in Auburn with a tremendously successful sentencing argument. Although I am due some of the credit for arguing a 2 year prison sentence down to just 3 months, my client really did the hard work. Since his arrest for two robberies (with a very realistic BB gun) more than a year ago, he got his GED, applied to and was accepted at college, got a job, and stayed clean and sober.
Those are the sort of facts that make my job very easy. If I could get all my clients to turn their lives around the way this one did, I would see this sort of success in court much more often.
