Although I know the business of law is an adversarial one, sometimes the differences between US (defense attorneys and our clients) and THEM (prosecutors) is dramatic.

Yesterday it occurred to me that the language of commonly-used court filings tells a lot about the two sides. Defense attorneys file Motions to Amend, Motions to Modify, Requests for Discovery. See, we try to change things for the better and I always ask politely.

Prosecutors, however, regularly file Motions to Terminate and Motions to Revoke. And they ask for Arrest Warrants all the time.
